The face behind AOA interior design

Hi, I’m Amina Vila Kevro, founder of AOA Interior Design and I’m so grateful you’re here!

Growing up in West Michigan, I was the teenager constantly rearranging my bedroom, hunting for budget-friendly décor finds, and filling my space with creativity (and a little sparkle). My true design journey began years later, in 2022, renovating our early 2000s condominium during the pandemic, solidifying my passion for the craft. This sparked a deep understanding of how design influences not only the aesthetic of a space but also its emotional impact.

I believe interior design plays a crucial role in shaping your personal environment and overall well-being. A thoughtfully designed space goes beyond the aesthetics - it fosters comfort, positivity, and balance, creating an atmosphere that supports your lifestyle and encourages both physical and emotional ease.

Today, I specialize in creating functional, people-centered spaces that feel calm, authentic, and uniquely you. To me, interior design goes beyond aesthetics, it shapes how we live, impacts our well-being, and provides comfort, balance, and positive energy in our daily lives. My greatest joy is transforming homes into curated environments that reflect both beauty and soul.

When I’m not designing, you’ll find me staying active through hiking, weightlifting, or pilates; exploring new cultures through food and travel; and chasing scenic views that fuel my creativity. Born in Bosnia and Herzegovina to immigrant parents, I feel incredibly blessed to be living my version of the American dream -- building space and building community through the art of interior design.
